Growing up fast!
Jackson was a trooper while traveling – five flights in all! We prayed so hard, and God completely answered. Jack slept most of the time on all flights, and was in a good mood when awake. Of course, there were a couple squawks here and there, but that is to be expected. He started teething while we were on vacation! We didn’t expect this to happen, so we didn't bring the teething tablets we received from a very thoughtful friend. We found some numbing gel in the mean time which seemed to work fairly well. I licked the stuff off my fingers to see what it tasted like… and I thtarted thalking like thith pretty quickly, tho we know it workth fatht! No sign of the pearly whites yet, but he’s drooling, chewing, sucking, and showing all the other signs of them coming in pretty quickly.
Jack seems to really enjoy reading. Ever since he was born, N and I have read to him almost daily. He will sit and stare at the book while we’re reading to him, and now he starts ‘talking’ all through out the time we read. It will be fun to see if he talks about the pictures a lot when he uses words, or if he is trying to imitate reading himself, or just what I don’t know! All I know is that it is so much fun seeing him develop in new ways every single day. He laughs and smiles a lot, and loves playing in his ExerSaucer. I don’t get how he can spend just as much time playing with the tray itself as he does with the actual toys, but I’m not complaining! Hopefully it’s a sign of finding pleasure in the simple things? :)
Seems like there’s so much more going on, but I can’t remember it all right now. He’s rolling over, and popping his head up as high as his little back will arch when on his tummy. Anything within reach goes straight to his mouth… that slimy, drooly, mess of a mouth. :) He keeps us laughing, and has brought so much joy to our lives! We feel very blessed that God has given us such a precious boy.
