One naïve mommy

In the name of getting Jackson used to feeding himself, I decided to give him some beans, cheese and fruit for lunch today. I plopped some refried beans on his highchair tray, and figured he would go at it one hand full at a time. He’d probably even use his fingers to scoop up the beans if he were feeling extra grown up today. And so it began… sure enough, Jack scooped up some beans. I turned around to do some things in the kitchen, and before I knew it he had smeared the beans all over his face, body, tray, floor, in cracks of the highchair, and who knows where else I’ll find that hardened, crusty bean paste. I couldn’t help but laugh, and was so glad that I had enough sense to take off his clothes before letting him at it. Ok, so I need to leave feeding himself to actual finger foods. :)

lol...eatable body paint!! that's awesome, aud, and great pics, too.

Funny! It's hard to know when it's more work to feed a baby or let him feed himself. :-P

Jackson is a handsome little guy, Audra! I'm sure you're enjoying this phase. It's such a fun one. :)
