What's the little man up to?

Earlier this month, Jack stuffed four of his fingers as fast as he could into his mouth..... and down his throat. He got the biggest kick out of the gag reflex (and my reaction). I'm glad he stopped before throwing up all his food!

Jackson is talking more and more. He's using three word sentences, and has been able to change words in order to reflect the appropriate person. lol.. ok, MY English skills are slightly lacking here. Anyway, when I ask him "Do you need me to help you?" He says "Help me"! How did he know to change it to "me"?? God has given people amazing abilities starting at a very early age. It's so cool to witness this!

He's begun whistling again. Around 11 months Jack was pretty good at puckering up those lips and letting out a two toned whistle - one on the exhale and one on the inhale. Around 13 months, he lost it. Gone. But it's back, and more refined. It's so cute seeing him whistle as he's going about his business.

If you've ever been around us since the little guy has become part of our family, you know how much we pray about and try to develop Jack's character so that it's a Godly one. I feel like we have another victory in that area! He's so good about saying "Yes Mom" or "Yes Dad" by nodding his head at us when we are telling him something or asking him if he understands. We always want him to be in the habit of listening to what we're saying, and showing that he listened and understands by responding with a "Yes Mom/Dad". We're so proud of him, and praise God for molding him!

Jack's had a lot of fun with Grammie over the past few weeks. We've been looking at houses while Jackson and Grammie paint the town. He's been to garage sales (getting tons of toys, of course), visiting friends, and 'helping' Grammie out at work. Ha. More like being the little social man of the hour at work! :) He's had a ton of fun, and sleeps pretty darn hard at nights b/c of all the fun they have. We've really appreciated it, b/c there's such a peace of mind knowing your little boy is having so much fun and being well cared for while we're out hunting down our next home - which we found, btw!! :-D

There might be a lapse in posting b/c of the big move, but we'll be sure to post pictures and updates when we're situated in our new home. After all, Jack is getting some more doting visitors in the next couple of weeks! Nana and Papa will be here for just over a week, right before the move.

Until next time! :)
